Meyley Vineyard, Bonny Doon
Meyley Vineyard was planted in the 1980s. This vineyard is located in Bonny Doon, which is in the Ben Lomond Mountain growing appellation, which is also in the Santa Cruz Mountain appellation.
Meyley boasts 12 acres of Chardonnay Clone 17 from Robert Young Winery. It is
grown in the exact same manner as Bald Mountain, yet has its own unique flavor
that can only be explained by the terroir of the land. This vineyard has been
highlighted in the Wine Spectator numerous times by several wineries, and continues
to produce some of the best fruit in the Santa Cruz Mountians.
The vineyard got its name from May Ley who was once the owner of the vineyard. Beauregards
have been farming Meyley for the full 20 years.
